The charging door is in the middle of the front of the car, in the nose. So park with the front facing the charging station.
Put the car in P and turn it off.
Make sure the car is unlocked. The charging door will not open while the car is locked.
Press the centre edge of the charging door and pull the door fully open towards the front of the car. The door swings open to the right.
Insert the charging cable into the car first, then into the charging station. Push the connector in firmly until it is properly seated.
Take the charging token (laaddruppel) from the glove compartment and scan it at the charging station to start charging.
Return the charging token to the glove compartment.
Tip: always check that the car is actually charging. Look for an indicator light on the charging station and the charging icon on the dashboard. The car also shows the remaining charging time for about one minute.
Good to know
At a standard AC charging station (3 phase) the car charges at up to 11 kW. Charging from 10 to 100 percent then takes about 6.5 hours.
At a single phase charge point the car charges at up to 6.9 kW, so it takes longer.
At a DC fast charger the car charges from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. At a 50 kW charger this takes about 60 minutes.
The battery is 71.2 kWh with a stated range of approximately 416 km (WLTP). In practice you will get less, especially with a full load, in winter and on the motorway.
Charging speeds are estimates and depend on factors such as temperature and how busy the charging location is.
You cannot shift out of P while charging. Stop charging first.
Troubleshooting
Charging door will not open: the car is still locked. Unlock it via the MyWheels app and try again.
Cable will not release: lock and unlock the car via the app or using the central locking button in the driver's door. The release button on the connector only works when the car is unlocked.
Car is not charging: check that the connector is properly inserted and that the charging token was scanned correctly. If the problem persists, try a different charging station.
Charging door stuck because of ice: tap lightly to break the ice. Do not force the door and do not use tools.
