The Puma has driver assistance systems that help you while driving. They switch on by default every time you start the car. If you feel the car pulls at the steering wheel or beeps too often, you can adjust most of it yourself.
Lane keeping
There is a lane keeping button on the steering wheel. Press it once to switch it on, twice to switch it off.
On the screen you choose how lane keeping works: go to Features, then Driver Assistance, then Lane-Keeping System, then Mode.
Speed warning based on road signs
The car reads road signs and warns you when you drive too fast.
Go to Features, then Driver Assistance, then Speed Limit Assist, then Speed Warning.
Press and hold the LIM button on the steering wheel to switch the warning off temporarily.
Driver attention warning
The car checks whether you are still driving alertly and advises you to take a break when needed.
Go to Features, then Driver Assistance, then Driver Alert.
Does the car advise you to take a break? Take it seriously and stop for a moment.
Good to know
If you switch a system off, it will be back on the next time you start the car. That is how this car works, and you cannot change it.
Do not change settings while driving. Bring the car to a safe stop first.
Even with all assistance systems off, you remain responsible for your speed and your position on the road.
Troubleshooting
The car steers against you when you change lanes: use your indicator. Lane keeping will not intervene if you do. To switch it off completely, press the lane keeping button twice.
The car keeps beeping even though you are not speeding: the sign recognition has read a wrong sign. Switch off the speed warning.
A system does not work at all: in rain, snow, or with a dirty windscreen or camera, these systems switch off. They work again once the camera has a clear view.
