The Ford Puma won't go faster than a certain speed. What now?

  • Is the speed limiter on? You will see a limit on the dashboard. Press LIM twice to switch it off.

  • Is cruise control on? Briefly press the brake or press the cruise control button.

  • Is the car in Eco drive mode? The top speed is then limited, for example to 105 km/h. Press the accelerator firmly to go above it briefly, or select Features, then Drive Modes on the screen and choose Normal.

  • Does the car respond slowly to the accelerator? The Slippery drive mode, intended for slippery roads, may be on. Choose Normal.

  • Does the car slow down sharply as soon as you lift off the accelerator? Then L mode or 1-Pedal Drive is on. Press the L button on the gear stalk, or switch off 1-Pedal Drive via Features, then Drive Modes.

  • Is the battery almost empty or very cold? The car then temporarily delivers less power. This recovers once the battery has warmed up or been charged.
