How does fast charging work with electric MyWheels cars?

Updated over 5 months ago

All electric MyWheels cars can fast charge, allowing you to quickly charge the car’s battery in a relatively short time. Fast charging stations can be found along highways or at specific locations. You can find an available fast charging point via www.oplaadpalen.nl.

The actual time it takes for you to be back on the road with sufficient range depends on the car and the fast charging station. Always check the car's display for an indication of the expected charging time relative to the number of kilometers.

How does fast charging work?
Fast charging works almost the same way as regular charging, but with fast charging, you don't need the car's charging cable since the cable is attached to the charging station.

  1. Open the charging cover of the MyWheels car.

  2. Plug the charging cable (attached to the charging station) into the car.

  3. Scan the charging key fob at the reader of the charging station. Follow any necessary steps on the screen.

  4. The car will start charging, which will be indicated on the car’s dashboard.

  5. To stop the charging session, scan the charging key fob at the reader again.

  6. Remove the charging cable from the car and hang it back on the charging station.

  7. Close the charging cover of the car. You’re ready to go!

  2. Open the charging cover (located in the left rear light) by tapping twice on the charging cover.

  3. Plug the charging cable into the Tesla.

  4. The Tesla will automatically start charging.

  5. To stop charging, click “Stop charging session” on the Tesla dashboard, then click “Unplug charging cable.”

  6. Remove the charging cable from the car and hang it back on the charging station.

  7. The charging cover will close automatically, or you can gently push it down.

Take your time, grab a coffee, and you'll be back on the road in no time!
