What should I do when I've damaged the car during my reservation?

Damage driving is annoying and can happen. Fortunately, you are well insured when driving one of our shared cars. Make sure to park the car in a safe place and call 112 in case of emergencies.

What now?

  1. The damage report must be filled out. There should be a damage report form in the car, but you can also find it at www.mobielschademelden.nl. Please note that if another party is involved, you must always fill out and sign the damage report together before proceeding. It is considered illegal if one of the parties fails to do so, and the police may be contacted. Always fill out both sides of the damage report form first. If another party is involved, do this together.
  2. It is best to report the damage through the app (see screenshot below). On the screen of your trip, there is a button to report the damage. Attach photos of both the damage and the damage report.
  3. If this is not possible, send all the information to schade@mywheels.nl. The damage team will then proceed to resolve it and keep you informed of the next steps.
  4. Need support? Call MyWheels (number is in the app in your current trip) as soon as the situation allows, especially if you cannot continue driving. The support agent will guide you through the process.

If you noticed any damage to the car before starting your trip and reporting it through the app was not successful? Send a photo of the damage along with the license plate and location of the car to schade@mwyheels.nl. We will then contact you.
