Items are missing from the car. What should I do?

The steps you take depend on what exactly is missing.

  • Car Key: The key should be in the glove compartment. However, for some cars, you don’t need a physical key to drive; you can use the MyWheels app instead. Check the information on the sticker inside the car to see if this applies to your vehicle. If a key is needed but missing, contact us.

  • Non-Essential Items: If non-essential items like a ice scraper or safety vest are missing, you can:

    • Retrieve the items yourself and claim the cost via the contact form. Be sure to include the receipt.
    • Notify us via the contact form. We will ensure that the missing items are returned to the car.

  • Charging Card or Fob: The charging card or fob is usually located in the glove compartment or in the center armrest. If it’s not there and you need to charge, use your debit or credit card at the charging station. Afterwards, claim the cost with us. If charging isn’t urgent or your trip has ended, let us know via the contact form that the card or fob is missing.

  • Fuel Card: The fuel card is typically in the glove compartment or in the center armrest. If it’s not there and you need to refuel, pay for the fuel yourself and then claim the cost with us. Always inform us via the contact form if the card is missing.
