We strive to ensure that MyWheels electric cars are always charged when you start your ride. They either have a dedicated spot with a charging station, or the previous renter ensures that the car is connected to a charging station if the range is below 80%.
Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned, and sometimes cars aren't charged. In such cases, consider connecting the car to a regular or fast charger yourself. If the battery is nearly empty, please contact us, and we'll try to arrange another car for you.
If you see in the app beforehand that the car has a low battery level, you can do a few things:
- Ask the Keyholder to move the car to a charging point.
- Start your ride earlier so you can first connect the car to a charging station.
- Cancel your ride and book a different car.
Good to know: it usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes to charge a car to 80%, so it doesn't take too long.
